We’re so proud to have regained our Salsa Food Safety Approval. When we say we brew quality brews we really mean it!

“We’re thrilled to get through another audit. The hard work involved is definitely worth it. It has helped our business on so many levels; improved systems, production standards, and as a sales USP, guaranteeing quality” says co-owner of Langhams, Lesley Foulkes.

About SALSA:
Written by experienced food safety experts, SALSA is a robust and effective food safety certification scheme which is appropriate for smaller food producers and suppliers.

Approved suppliers can demonstrate that they operate to standards that are recognised and accepted across the industry and exceed the minimum standards expected by enforcement authorities.

SALSA approval is only granted to suppliers who are able to demonstrate to an auditor that they are able to produce and supply safe and legal food and are committed to continually meeting the requirements of the SALSA standard.

SALSA is a non-profit making joint venture founded by three of the main trade associations representing the UK Food Chain, featured on the right. The Institute of Food Science and Technology (IFST) oversees the running of the Scheme on behalf of the owner, Salsa Scheme Ltd, which is made up of representatives from these three trade associations. IFST also runs the professional register that verifies the competence of SALSA Auditors.
