Q: What was your route to working at Langham Brewery?
I’ve been coming to the brewery for years with my dad, and since graduating from Durham University in June 2024 I’ve been looking for a part-time job while I apply for engineering graduate jobs – when this job became available it was the perfect job at the perfect time!

Q: Which is your favourite Langham brew and why?
My favourite brew if the Best Bitter – a beer for all occasions! (Although you can’t beat a refreshing Arapaho on a summer’s day!)

Q: What does a typical pre/post brewery day look like for you?
I like to get up fairly early and make a nice big breakfast for me and my tortoise and then head into the brewery for a catch up with Bob. I always look forward to a good dinner and perhaps a beer or two when I get home!

Q. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again’.

Q. What is one skill you’re actively trying to learn at the moment?
I’ve been learning the banjo for a while – I played the electric guitar throughout school but always wanted to have a go at the banjo!

Q. What is the most memorable travel experience you’ve had?
In 2016, my family and I went to Guadeloupe in the Caribbean (where they film Death in Paradise). It’s an incredible island and we got to climb a volcano, swim with turtles and eat delicious goat curry on the sunny beach!

Q. What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend?
I love going to see my friends from university when I can, so a trip to London for dinner and a few drinks with them is always lovely, and you can’t beat a proper Sunday morning fry-up the next day!

Q. Are you a morning person or a night owl?
I’m definitely a night owl – I’d much rather work until 12 than start at 7am!

Q. What’s your favourite type of cuisine?
I love Italian food, particularly a good pasta or risotto dish, and my Carbonara always seems to go down well.

Q: If you could have one talent, what would it be?
I’d love to be able to weld, it would certainly make maintaining my old Mini a lot easier!
