At Langhams we believe in the spirit of community and supporting local business. We are thrilled to partner with a variety of venues hosting weddings and special occasions; working with them to provide beer choices tailored to each customer and ensuring their experience is stress free and fun.
Our friendly and knowledgeable team will guide your customers, from explaining available beer options, beer tastings and food pairing suggestions, to quantity required, dispense method and tips for making sure the beer retains its top-notch condition. We will help your customers make the perfect beer choice for their big day.
Our friendly team in The Gulp taproom are available to host tasting sessions for your client and their guests, with a hands-on introduction to the wide range of Langham beers. At Langhams we are pleased to offer a beer style and ABV for every taste and occasion.
Tasting And Ordering
Tasting sessions include a private beer tasting session, (locally hand-crafted beer flights offer a four-beer taster selection of your customer’s choice); short tour of the brewery; introduction to serving styles and food pairing suggestions; plus quantity and dispense method options. Additional options include Faretti Bakery authentic
Italian pizzas and bar nibbles.
Please allow at least 1 hour for tasting sessions. Formal hosted sessions are subject to availability Monday-Friday. Clients are also welcome to visit during our opening hours weekdays and Saturday with friends and family for informal tastings.
When your client has made their beer choice they can either place their order directly with the brewery and arrange payment directly or if the venue has a trade account, please speak to the team to raise the order on your account. You can place an order by emailing the team on [email protected] or calling 01798 860 861.
Deposits
If you do not have an account with us, please speak to the team about setting one up. Otherwise, we require a £85 deposit per cask or keg for our 9G Firkins, 4.5G Steel Pins and 30L Kegs. Your deposit will be returned to you when you bring all our equipment (including tap and stand) back to us undamaged within 1 month of delivery. Alterntively, an agreed collection date can be arranged with the team. Additional equipment may be available to rent subject to availability. At peak times this is first come first served!
Please provide a full delivery address with any specific delivery instructions and contact name and number for whoever is accepting the delivery. This helps our Drayman should he need to call on route. If the event is in a field or remote location, please send us the W3W location. We aim to deliver all orders, but in peak times our van may be full and heading in a different direction, so depending on location and delivery day we may (if no other alternative) ask that the order is collected from the brewery.
Containers and Dispense Systems
We offer different ways to serve beer on the special day, depending on your dispense system. All beer for events is poured to order on the day of delivery or collection. This ensures it is at its best. For Cask conditioned ales we recommend BRIGHT beer as it is “plug and play” and can be stored and poured without fuss. BRIGHT beer has a shelf life of 3 days. To keep your beer in the best condition, cask beer options should be kept at cellar temperature (between 11c-13c) and kegged beer options, it’s best to clear some space in the fridge and drink chilled. If you are unsure whether you have picked a cask or keg beer please do get in touch. Once opened, our beer is best consumed within 3-5 days. This option is suitable for cask conditioned ale or our kegged beer range.
5L Minikeg (8.8 pints) Unopened and kept cool the Mini keg should last for approximately 10 days. Polypins Polypins come in two sizes. They contain 18 pints (10 litres) or 36 pints (20 litres). A polypin is a bag of cask conditioned ale in a box. Their generous serving sizes and ease of use make them popular reusable options. No additional equipment is needed as the tap is built in. Speak to the team about beer temperature, care and how to clean for reuse. Steel Pins (36 Pints) & 9G Firkin (72 Pints) – We can provide tap, wooden bar top stand and spiles. All you need is a rubber mallet and the confidence to hammer the tap into the cask. If bar staff have never done this before do not worry, there are plenty of videos on YouTube or one of our friendly Langham team will be happy to talk you through it. 30L Sankey Kegs (52 Pints)- you will require a keg line dispense system. Speak to the team about options available or partner companies for hiring equipment.
A rental fee may be required. All equipment rented must be returned the following week after the event, in clean and working order. Should equipment need further cleaning a £50 charge will be incurred. If any of the equipment is damaged a breakage assessment will be made and the cost to repair or replace will be charged. The cost of this will depend on the damage and specific equipment.
