This evening’s comedians ~

Gerry K (Closing Act):
Anecdotal, observational and refreshingly honest in style, Gerry’s comedy is enriched by a somewhat unique perspective: Real name Gerry Kyei (pronounced “Chay”), Gerry was born in the East End, but grew up in rural Essex, as a rare blackface in an almost totally white and very parochial area (a million miles away from the traditional Essex stereotype towns like Harlow, Basildon, Romford and Southend). In addition to providing some truly original insights into life in rural England, these early experiences have ensured Gerry’s comedy delights an incredible range of audiences often confounds expectations.

Ben Ashurst (Middle Act):
Ben Ashurst (as featured on BBC Radio Solent) started performing comedy in 2018, and has quickly established himself as a rising star of the comedy circuit. He has performed in comedy clubs up and down the country, including Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool.

Alan Francis (Opening Act):
Since winning Channel 4’s So you Think You’re Funny at the 1991 Edinburgh Festival, Alan has been a regular on the UK and International Comedy Circuit.
He has appeared in numerous TV shows including Psychoville, Mid Morning Matters with Alan Partridge, Knowing Me Knowing Yule, Alistair McGowan’s Big Impression, Ancona and Co, Alas Smith and Jones, The BBC Stand-Up Show, the Alan Davies Show, Alexei Sayle’s Stuff, Between the Lines and Taggart.
He has acted in the West End and at The Royal Court Theatre, for The National Theatre of Scotland and at the RSC.

Your Host: Paul Cox Founder of Epic Comedy
Compere Paul Cox
“Don’t be fooled by Paul’s relaxed chatty demeanour, like he’s your mate down the pub, he has killer lines and a warm, relatable style that also happens to be really bloody funny.”

10% of all ticket sales will be donated to The Trussell Trust. Stop UK hunger.

The Trussell Trust support a nationwide network of food banks and together they provide emergency food and support to people locked in poverty, and campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK. In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face.
