Meet Paul our Taproom Mananger.
Paul is the newest (and a very welcome) addition to the brewery team.

You’ll find him in the Taproom, as well helping with the regional events we’re involved in.
Here we ask him a little about himself – you can find out more by popping into the Taproom for a pint and a chinwag.

Q: What was your route to working with Langham Brewery?
I’m a long time customer, fan and supporter of Langhams, I saw that they were hiring on a Facebook post and thought why the heck not! And here I am.

Q: What does a typical day at the brewery look like for you?
Hmmm typical day? Don’t think there is such a thing, obviously there are routine things that need to be done otherwise there’s new people to meet, new stories to hear and new experiences to share everyday.

Q: Which is your favourite Langham beer and why?
My favourite ever would be Decenium, at the moment it’s Rocket Juice. It very much depends on what I’m doing but Session IPA would be my favourite for an evening.

Q: What can customers expect when you’re serving in the Tap?
General grumpiness! I’m always up for a chat and love to hear about what people are up to and their life experiences.

Q: Who has influenced you the most?
Nobody really, I’ve always tended to make my own way, I’ve taken advice from many but not always followed it.

Q: Please tell us one thing not many people know about you.

I collect Whitefriars Glass, if you know what it is that’s great, if not I’m happy to bore you tears telling you all about it.

Q: What are the most important lessons you’ve learned in your life?
Never judge a book by its cover, I learnt early on that the scruffiest individual can turn out to be a pop star and can become a very loyal customer when treated properly.

Q: What kinds of things make you the happiest now?
My dog, even though he’s getting a bit old he still makes me smile everyday.

Q: What would you say were the most important moments of your life so far?
I have had the privilege of knowing and meeting some of the most wonderful people, both family and friends.

Q: What are you the most proud of?
Being around to watch my nephew and nieces grow into wonderful people.

Q: If you could invite any 3 people (alive or dead) to enjoy a pint in the Langham Tap, which 3 would you choose?
I’m going to cheat here:
1 – My maternal grandfather who passed before I was old enough to have a beer with him,
2 & 3 – My godparents and parents
It would so great to spend time once again with the Gang of Four, plus one.

Q: What life advice would you pass along?
Never let the b#£&tards get you down.
