Many of you already know Martyn – he’s been a friend of the brewery for a number of years. But, did you know he is a fool? … For a Morris dancing side!

Martyn has worked at Langham Brewery for 5 ½ years. His official title is Sale Representative. Martyn travels to our trade customers and forms one-to-one relationships with our publicans and a variety of outlets selling our fabulous brews.

Q: What was your route to working with Langham Brewery?
I asked for a job at Langham and here I am. Since I was 20 I have been in the trade, whether that is working in a pub, running a pub, working for breweries, and selling beer in a variety of ways.

Q: What does a typical day on the road look like for you?
There is no typical day… each day is different, each pub is different, and each landlord is different. But my mission is create and maintain face-to-face relationships with our trade accounts.

Q: Who do you look up to and why? This could be a brewer, a musician, an entrepreneur, your partner…
Any professional publicans that have been trading for years… particularly in recent years.

Q: Please tell us one thing not many people know about you.
I am a fool for a morris dancing side.

Q: Have you ever tried home brewing?
No, I have made homemade wine though.

Q: What is the one thing you love most in your life (other than working with beer!)?
Morris dancing

Q: Which is your favourite Langham beer and why?
XXX Mild, it just keeps getting better and better. LSD is close second.

Q: What does a typical day AWAY FROM WORK look like for you?
Walking, cycling or a day on my allotment.

Q: If you could invite any 3 people to a dinner party, which 3 would you choose?
Frank Zapper, Rick Stein and Monica my partner of 35 years.
