There’s a very warm welcome from Gail at the Langham Brewery Taproom.
Gail is true real ale lover and a knowledgeable, friendly member of the team.

Find out more about Gail via her Q&A below, then pop by our Brewery Shop and Taproom to say hello!

Q: What was your first job?
I worked for a company of Architects right in the centre of Covent Garden. I loved the location as the market was buzzing and had stalls selling all sorts of foods such as bread, olives, cheese and as a cheeseacholic – I was in my element!

Q: What was your route to working at Langham Brewery?

I am a Committee member of the Haslemere Fringe and a member of the Haslemere Rotary. Delicious Langham beers are sold at all of the events that have a bar and I was introduced to Lesley through a member of these two charities.

Q: What’s been the most memorable time of your career to date?
I have had a variety of jobs throughout my career which included working for Surrey Police Authority as their Events and Community Engagement Manager in Guildford. I was given the challenge of organising and delivering a 24-hour conference for 260 delegates from throughout the UK. It was really hard work but a great project which resulted in my being presented with a Commendation following its success.

Q: Which is your favourite Langham beer and why?
As a Real Ale lover and someone who enjoys home brew, I have two favourites – Session and Best Bitter. I love the taste of both and neither of them are too strong.

Q. If you could travel to any year in a time machine, what year would you choose and why?
I would love to visit ancient Egypt as I find it completely fascinating. I would also be really interested in going back to Italy during the time of Pompeii although in both cases I would want to wear an invisibility cloak and just be an on-looker!

Q. If you could have dinner with a famous person (living or dead), who would you choose?
I would be interested in having dinner with Florence Nightingale to hear her stories and those who she helped.

Q: Please tell us one thing not many people know about you.
I had an amazing balloon ride along the French Pyrenees in a basket for four people – one being the pilot! It was magical.

Q: What can we expect at the Brewery Taproom when you’re serving the brews?
A lot of chatter!

Q. What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
Have no regrets.
