It’s wonderful that our co-director, Lesley Foulkes, was mentioned in this month’s Sussex Life Magazine, in their Leading Ladies feature.

Follow this link to read the magazine online Sussex Life Magazine March Issue. Lesley is featured on page 97, but the whole magazine is worth a read of course.

Here’s the Q&A with Lesley in full:

Tell me about your business
Langham is an independent microbrewery near Petworth in the beautiful South Downs National Park. Our passion is to produce innovative, flavoursome real ales using the finest quality ingredients and traditional craft skills. When our small, dedicated team moved into our beautiful granary barn back in 2005, swallows were congregating and getting ready to migrate. The collective noun for swallows is Gulp, so we’ve recently created a ‘Gulp Club’ for our wonderfully supportive customers, who gain brewery discounts and more. Do feel free to join – it’s quick and easy via our website.

What has been the impact on Covid 19 on your business over the last year?
We feel blessed to continue to create, brew, serve and deliver our beautiful beers, regardless of the challenges which the last year has brought.
The (safe) Langham Brewery Drive Through remains open, where a friendly welcome always waits.
We also offer a popular Home Delivery service, with home orders being delivered daily across Sussex and Hampshire.
We miss our pubs so much and cannot wait for them to return.

Your goals for the future?
This spring, Covid restrictions permitting, we hope to open a tasting room here at the brewery and are also busy building an online shop.
We pride ourselves on being a community-led business, focussing on local events and charitable causes. We feel the tasting room would be an ideal space for local people, as well as for visitors to the area.
And for the near future we aim to keep going, keep safe and keep smiling.
