Our Espresso Stout: Brewed, beautiful and now available.

A few words on the new brew from head brewer, Saulo ~

“There are many ways to introduce coffee into beer; we favoured a cold infusion for our Espresso Stout, helping us to showcase the complex nature of this wonderful coffee variety. By steeping the coffee for 18 hours we aimed to draw out the sweet fusion of the bean. To reduce any bitterness and create a kind of rich indulgence, this beer was brewed with selected malts and English yeast, resulting in tones of roasted chocolate and toffee. We’d love you to try it – we’re really pleased with the end result.”

The coffee flavour in the beer is kind of subtle at first. The flavour then builds and remains on the palate, making it the perfect accompaniment to your slice of panettone or Christmas cake, a mince pie… or your festive nibble of choice.

The new brew is the next in our what3words ///Hence.Mute.Lizards (the brewery #what3words) series of beers and is currently available to purchase here at the brewery Drive Through and via our Home Delivery services.

It is available as cask conditioned and kegged beer and, like many of our beers, will be poured to order.

With continued thanks to Horsham Coffee Roasters who describe their coffee – Brazil Guima Estate Natural – as ‘low coffee that is slow roasted to draw out flavours of hazelnut chocolate and dried fruit, the result is a rounded but bright flavour, with low acidity.’⠀
