Bonkers For Conkers: 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we are cancelling this year’s ‘Bonkers For Conkers’ event here at the brewery.⠀
⠀
We have racked our brains for ways that we could host our annual ‘Bonkers for Conkers’ – our annual daredevil contest of skill and danger – in aid of Chestnut Tree House decided reluctantly that it would not be possible. ⠀
⠀
To offer the fabulously fun, family day with all the lovely attractions – steam rides, stalls and of course extreme sportsmanship – within the current safe distance and numbers regulations is, sadly, unfeasible.⠀
⠀
So save the date: Our 13th annual Bonkers For Conkers Championship will now take place on Sunday 10th October 2021.⠀
⠀
However, we are glass half full people (see what we did there!?!).⠀
⠀
Our chosen worthwhile cause, Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex, Brighton and South East Hampshire caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age.⠀
⠀
Their work is so essential and inspirational. The support and care the hospice offers is always in need of funding help, so we have a plan.⠀
⠀
Our next ///hence.mute.lizards brew will be a dedicated Chestnut (Tree⠀
House) Ale 🍻⠀
⠀
It promises to be a lovely nutty/oaty number… think hob-nobs! ⠀
And 30 pence from every pint sold will go to directly to good people at Chestnut Tree House. ⠀
⠀
All being well, the new ale will launch at the end of September.⠀
⠀
Keep a eye out for updates, but we are reserving now should you like to be one of the first to try it.⠀
