‘For visitors to the South Downs National Park with a taste for real ales, an eye for historic surroundings and an ear for live music, Langham Brewery is a must-see destination with its own distinctive character and flavour.

The story of Langham Brewery begins with good friends James Berrow and Steve Mansley brewing their own real ale in James’ garage for more than 25 years. So successful were they in their endeavours that in 2003 the pair decided to take the leap into commercial brewing, with James’ partner, Lesley Foulkes, bringing her business acumen to the venture and completing the puzzle.

Langham Brewery was officially founded in 2005 and today operates as an independent steam-powered microbrewery, which rests between the Sussex towns of Midhurst and Petworth in the stunning surroundings of the South Downs National Park. During the development of the brewery, a 10-barrel plant was lovingly refurbished, while the Cowdray Estate assisted by converting a superb 18th century especially for purpose so that by spring 2006 Langham Brewery was ready to brew.’
