Tasting Notes

This cask conditioned ale follows in the modern tradition of blonde, strongly hopped beers. It’s a classic blonde beer, which is clean and crisp. The nose is loaded with a floral hop aroma, while the pale malt flavour is overtaken by a pleasing dry and bitter finish.4 x award winner. SE SIBA, Western Sussex and Haslemere.

A tawny-coloured classic best beer, with well-balanced malt flavours, finished with a hint of blackcurrant and a slightly spicy, sweet aroma. We are immensely proud of the Langham’s Southdowns Best Bitter which remains a firm favourite in our core range of classic beers.

This mid-strength hoppy lager offers notes of sweet citrus and tangerine on the palate and aroma, with a delicate malt flavours and a crisp finish.

This is truly a great beer to enjoy on a summer’s eve. A deep, golden beer, the nose has tropical fruit, pineapple and citrus notes with a smooth maltiness in the background. There is a balanced dry & bitter finish, with a floral hop aroma.

This style known for its high carbonation, dry finish, and naturally expressive character thanks to the yeast strains with which it is fermented. Expect soft citrus and fruit notes, gentle spice and pepper which make this refreshing beer that pairs excellently with food.

Our new brew is a classic dry porter where the combination of our amazing pure well water and the complexity of 5 malts takes this beer to another level. This beer provides creamy roasted coffee and chocolate notes with a complex finish.

A dark, chocolate malty, but light mild ale with smooth hopping, for a slightly sweeter taste. XXX won the Overall Cask Ale Champion and Gold Award at the SIBA S.E. Region Competition 2017. It went on to win the Silver Award in the ‘Cask Champion Standard Mild Ales & Brown Ales’ in SIBA’s National Independent Beer Awards 2018.

An easy drinker, delivering flavour without the punch.   Amarillo hops add gentle fragrance of spring blossom and ripe fruit. Fresh and light, with a clean finish of bitter citrus peel and grass thanks to the perfect partners Mosaic and Citra.

Brewed with Belgian farmhouse yeast for a pillowy head packed with funky fruit and clove aromas.

Authentic German Pilsner brewed in the South Downs Vegan friendly. Light golden, brilliantly clear with a creamy, long-lasting white head.  The malt character is crisp, with dry to medium-dry finish. Distinctive spicy noble hopping gives a refreshing bitter finish.
